About Us

The aim of the Association was to provide a forum for the new Specialty of Audiological Medicine. The Association was  open to all Consultants practising predominantly in Audiological Medicine and included in its membership in the first years some Otolaryngologists who also  practised Audiological Medicine.

Audiovestibular Medicine is the medical specialty concerned with the diagnosis and management of hearing and balance disorders in adults and children. 

  NICE has accredited the process used by British Association of Audiovestibular Physicians (BAAP) to produce its clinical practice guidelines. Accreditation is valid for 5 years from March 2016. More information on accreditation can be found at:
